Kiana-Karla Layam

Kiana-Karla Layam is a junior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Architectural Engineering. Currently, she is aiming to work in the HVAC industry as a Mechanical Engineer. She is particularly interested in thermo-fluids applications and the intersection between effective building design and performance, and efficient energy use in the HVAC industry. As she enters her senior year, she will be applying her thermo-fluids knowledge to designing novel-energy absorbing composites for her senior capstone project. Additionally, she is involved in the campus Newman Club and enjoys working out in her free time.
