Yude (Olaf) Fu

Yude (Olaf) Fu is a Research Assistant at the HERB Lab at WPI, where he works with Prof. Nancy Ma on occupant behavior, residential BEM, and data-driven approaches to improving building performance and energy efficiency.

He is currently pursuing an MS degree in Building Performance and Diagnostics at CMU. His research interests include BEM, HVAC, occupant behavior, AI for the built environment, data-driven building operation, IEQ, data center energy efficiency, and sustainable building design.

Olaf previously worked as a Building Performance Consultant Intern at AEI, contributing to whole-building energy modeling, LEED certification, HVAC analysis, IEQ assessments, and sustainability consulting.

He holds a First Class Honours B.Eng. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
