Qi Zhang

Qi Zhang is presently a Ph.D. candidate in Architecture at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP), Tongji University, and a visiting scholar at the Center for Environment Building & Design (CEBD), University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on advancing thermodynamic and ecological architecture, in low-energy and high-performance buildings. She is involved in the project“Study on IntegratedDesign of Low-Energy Building Oriented byEnvironmental Performance andThermodynamics in Chongming Eco-Island”.She specializes in CFD, building performance simulation, data analysis, and visualization.

Qi works closely with Dr. Ma on a project that aims to reveal the spatial distribution of particles and ozone and propose corresponding design interventions in face of climate change and air pollution.
