Ming Yan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Southeast University and a Master of Science in Design, specializing in Environmental Building Design, from the University of Pennsylvania with distinction. His professional path was recognized in 2022 with the Muscoe Martin Fellowship, enabling him to work alongside Green Building United and the City of Philadelphia on BEPP and benchmarking data analysis.
With a keen interest in urban-scale energy simulation, he is involved in research investigating the impact of electrification and EV development on carbon emissions and low-income families in the city of Worcester. His research interests also include thermal resilience and optimization of sustainable strategies for buildings.
