Michelle Nguyen
Research Assistant
Michelle Nguyen recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor inEarth science with a concentration in environmental science and minors in sustainability &environmental management and Asian American studies. Her past research experience includes working in a biogeochemistry lab studying soil carbon storage and airborne microplastics. She joined this research team through an urban studies course at Penn where she helped design a project studying how urban morphology and building characteristics account for UHI, specifically at the microclimate scale. The study analyzes sample regions in Philadelphia with a focus on underrepresented communities.
